These caps will keep the sand and dirt out of your PL-259 connectors when you store your jumper coax or transport your jumper coax, especially, if you happen to drop the PL-259 connector on the ground.

Great to keep dirt out. Realizing PL-259 connectors are not waterproof implies these caps do not waterproof either. Clean is good. If you need better, try N connectors.
